Water Experience
Anna Jurado (AJ) is a tenured researcher at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) (Barcelona, Spain). She holds a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering with a specialization in Groundwater Hydrology (UPC, 2013). Her main research line is to identify and quantify alternative water resources, such as urban groundwater, to alleviate the water shortage in urban settings. Specifically, her research focuses on improving urban groundwater quality, paying special attention to the natural attenuation processes undergone by contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) in the subsurface.
