"I am a woman, and water is an essential basic need that I require on a daily basis."
"My lived experience with sexual and reproductive care, particularly menstrual hygiene, is a reflection of every woman's struggle, which is still undervalued in terms of water urgency."
"I am committed to participating in the advocacy strategy to ensure universal access to SRHR and WASH."
Water Experience
I am primarily working in the WASH area that intersects with sexual and reproductive health and rights among young people. In 2019, my friends and I started an initiative named Tubuh Tumbuh, providing information on SRHR while reducing the use of plastic sanitary pads among female students at Islamic boarding schools in Yogyakarta. This project is based on observing female students during menstruation when hygiene is lacking due to the taboo. The educational workshops for learning dissemination and making cloth sanitary pads were conducted to give female students a positive experience in caring for their menstrual hygiene and the environment.
