Water Experience
I am a research associate at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR), Institute of Marine Biological Resources and Inland Waters (IMBRIW). My research interests are Environmental Flows, Hydraulics, Hydrology, Water Management and Environmental Management of Mountain Areas. My work concentrates on rivers as community amenities delivering health, prosperity and well-being in inhabited places, providing ecosystem services regarding the needs of public welfare and community livelihood. I explore the trade-offs between humankind and nature, including developing suitable ecological flow provisions and the impacts on aquatic ecosystems from flow regulations and climate change.
