"My lived experience as a woman in engineering and research has shaped my ability to recognize and elevate voices that are not always heard."

Water Experience

I am a postdoctoral researcher in Water Resources Engineering trying to understand how climate change (sea level rise, storm surges, and droughts) affects coastal groundwater and drives land-use change across the Delmarva Peninsula and Mid-Atlantic Coast. I work directly with landowners and stakeholders to translate my research into planning decisions for future climate scenarios. I also served on a "Women in Engineering" steering committee where I supported gender equality in water-related engineering fields. I challenge water issues by bridging the communication gap between researchers and stakeholders so that all community concerns are heard and represented in my science.
