"I am a Senegalese researcher convinced that science diplomacy must be rooted in local realities to guarantee just and inclusive water management."
"My lived experience with Senegal River communities has taught me that the knowledge of women farmers is the key to sustainable and resilient water governance"
"I am committed to transforming transboundary water management by advocating for a 'Social Visa' that gives a legal and political voice to grassroots communities."
Water Experience
As a PhD candidate at Gaston Berger University, my research focuses on science diplomacy and water governance in the Senegal River Basin. My contribution to gender equity is built around the concept of the 'Social Visa': a framework designed to integrate the praxis of women farmers and community knowledge into transboundary decision-making processes. As a young researcher, I challenge traditional approaches by advocating for the legal recognition of informal local rules, ensuring that grassroots voices directly influence international water management agendas.
