"My lived experience as a woman PhD in microbial ecology and as a feminist has shown me how water connects life, justice, and equity. I am committed to protecting water for vulnerable communities and ensuring access for both people and ecosystems."
Water Experience
I completed my PhD in microbial ecology of freshwater systems, and I am now working on microbial ecology in the ocean, including bioremediation. In addition, I participate in the Gender & Science group of the Iberian Society of Limnology, where we work on projects to raise awareness about how climate change is linked to water and how it disproportionately affects women.
