Water Experience
I am a fluvial geomorphologist and I study natural floodplains around the US. Functioning floodplains provide many ecosystem services, including reducing flooding that often impacts low-income areas. I am also a science communicator, and I use art to illustrate what rivers used to look like and what they could be again with restoration efforts. I also enhance visuals and infographics used in our lab's research to make the findings more accessible.
