"I am a senior faculty member with administrative experience in Canada. I conduct field-based water science research."

"My lived experience includes working with teams to initiate water resource management programs in Latin America."

"I am committed to 'training the trainers' so that communities with water resource challenges can develop strategies to address their issues independently."

Water Experience

My lived experience as a minority (i.e., female) faculty member in Canada since 1996 has evolved from simply surviving (in the early years) to actively advocating and addressing issues more recently (as a former Associate Dean in the Faculty of Science at the University of Calgary). I have additionally worked with academics and students in Canadian government-funded projects designed to initiate graduate programs in water resource management in Bolivia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Peru.
