Water Experience

I am a cryosphere scientist that has worked extensively in Antarctica, the Arctic and High Mountain Asia. Early in my career I faced considerable obstacles as a woman to doing cryosphere research, especially in Antarctica. I am committed to building the capacity of women in sciences, especially in cryosphere fieldwork. I am presently based at ICIMOD in Nepal, leading our cryosphere work in the Hindu Kush Himalaya and ensuring that our work related to cryosphere and water resources considers gender every step of the way.
