Water Experience
Nicole Mukunzi, MSPH, is a seasoned Public Health Specialist with over 15 years of experience designing, leading, and evaluating community-based health programs in East and West Africa. Her expertise spans a range of technical areas, including Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), Nutrition, Malaria Prevention, HIV/AIDS prevention, and support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and Private Sector Engagement in the WASH Sector. Skilled in conducting technical WASH assessments, private sector strategy design, and stakeholder engagement. Experienced in drafting technical guidance for health programs, M&E plans, and sector guidance documents aligned with international best practices. She has held key roles in partnership with international development agencies such as USAID, U.S.CDC, the U.S. Peace Corps, and Agence Française de Développement (AFD), providing technical leadership across program planning, implementation, budgeting, reporting, and performance monitoring. Since relocating to Liberia in 2021, Ms. Mukunzi has consulted independently, advising INGOs and donor organizations on strategic planning, program positioning, and business development in the WASH sector in Liberia, the DRC, and remotely for US-based NGOs. She is fluent in French and English, speaks Swahili, and has served as a simultaneous translator in multilingual meetings and conferences. Passionate about context-sensitive solutions, Ms. Mukunzi brings a deep commitment to equity, cultural adaptability, and cross-sectoral collaboration in global health and development.
