"My lived experience has shown me that how people understand water reveals their outlook on the whole world and their relationship to others."
Water Experience
I am an anthropologist and ethno-ornithologist, working with Indigenous peoples in Latin America who are defending their land and water, protecting the forests, mountains, and other beings. As they say— water is life / el agua es vida. Water ceremonies are integral to to passing on traditions and protecting communities. Water cleanses, restores, and connects us to understandings that show our survival depends on cooperation and reciprocity for the well-being and survival of us all.
