Women Plus Water

"I am a mother, daughter, wife, caretaker of my watershed, dancer, reader, and caring citizen of the world"

"My lived experience gives me many soft and hard skills to contribute to the careful and considerate management of our shared water"

"I am committed to elevating voices in the water world who don't usually get a voice"

Water Experience

I am an instructor in the Integrated Water Management diploma program at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Canada. As part of the curriculum I designed and teach, I encourage my learners (youth as well as adults) to consider all perspectives as water managers, including youth, genders, varying backgrounds, etc. I also sit on the board of the Bow River Basin Council where I ensure that youth and young professional voices are engaged in my watershed. Water management must be intersectional to be effective! I have also worked at the international level on SDG 6 work through UNEP and Global Water Partnership.
