Water Experience

I am a PhD candidate in Chemistry at the University of Johannesburg specializing in sustainable water treatment through the design of advanced membranes for hexavalent chromium removal. With over a decade of professional experience in an accredited water and wastewater laboratory, I bridge rigorous scientific research with practical solutions for safe water access. Beyond research, I mentor students, lead the Gauteng Young Water Professionals South Africa network and judge youth science competitions, empowering young women to see themselves in STEM. My work advances gender equity by ensuring inclusive participation in water research, leadership and decision-making while contributing to SDG 6.
