Biography

Sujata is a Research Officer at the Global Institute for Water Security (GIWS). Her research work focuses on hydrology, GIS and watershed and water quality modelling of different catchments in Canada. Sujata holds a Master's Degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Her master's thesis investigated the impacts of soil freeze-thaw mechanisms on surface and sub-surface hydrology. Previously, she graduated with a Master's degree in Geo-informatics from ITC, University of Twente (Netherlands) and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Nepal). She also has more than five years of professional research and consulting experience in civil engineering, particularly in hydrological modelling, surveying, river training, construction design, GIS, land use and urban planning.
