Our many congratulations to second-year PhD student Jaivime Evaristo on his paper that was published last week in Nature! The paper, which you can read here, documents global-wide evidence that appears to support the theory that soil water is compartmentalized ( ‘two water worlds’) into water used by plants and water that recharges streams. The paper has garnered some attention in local and scientific media outlets, eg. in usask, phys.org, BioPortfolio, UCalgary, and Oregon State.
