Watershed Hydrology Post Doc Marcel Gaj recently published a paper addressing the issues around isotope fractionation of extracted soil water from soils that have silt and clay. This experimental paper looked at the soil's physicochemical characteristics and applied that knowledge to improve soil water extraction using the cryogenic vacuum technique.
