Cob Staine's graduate research will focus on contributing to methods for the remote sensing and modelling of mountain snowpack. Including spatial distributions of snowpack density, energy balance, and structure, to be deployed on the scale of basins to better estimate downstream water availability and timing due to snowmelt, and to aid in the anticipation of the effects of climate change on such systems.
