Thesis Description:
Kerry received her BSc from the University of Saskatchewan in 2011. Shortly after this she began working in GIWS member Jeff Hudson's limnology lab to research her master's degree. She is studying climate change in the South Saskatchewan River Basin in order to better understand the potential impact on fish habitat. The aim of her research project is to develop models that are able to predict flow in the South Saskatchewan River based on climate, and use these to predict the impact on native fish populations. The project hopes to produce a tool that can be used by decision makers to help with the development of long-term conservation strategies.
