Connect with land and water on March 21 - the equinox transition between winter and spring as well as World Glacier Day. The USask Saskatoon Campus sits on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River, a glacier-fed system that nourishes our campus. This gathering is an opportunity to pause and consider the river and all water as a vital source of learning.
Join us to reflect on current educational strategies and consider incorporating principles of Indigenization in the curriculum. Create a personal commitment to continuous learning and respect for Indigenous perspectives and an action plan that outlines specific steps for implementing these activities within your own teaching contexts. Internalize emotional connections and reflections derived from Indigenous narratives and land-based knowledge in your teaching methods.
Meet at the Gwenna Moss Centre. Please note this event will move outdoors. Please dress appropriately.
