World Water & Glacier Day Celebration

World Water & Glacier Day: Sustainable and Equitable Water Management brings together researchers, practitioners, students, and community members to explore how water can be managed in ways that are both sustainable and equitable.

Hosted by the Global Institute for Water Security (GIWS) at the University of Saskatchewan, the event is held in recognition of the United Nations’ World Day for Glaciers (March 21) and World Water Day (March 22). The program will feature a keynote presentation examining the role of water in advancing gender equality for sustainability, along with a panel discussion showcasing leading practices and research in sustainable and equitable water management in Saskatchewan and beyond.

A poster and networking session will follow at 3:30 - 4:30 PM where attendees can network and view posters from students, postdoctoral fellows, and early-career researchers working across a wide range of water-related topics at USask. Students and Young Professionals are eligible to submit their posters to the session.
