GIWS Researcher Receives Long Term Service Award from International Association of Hydrogeologists
Grant Ferguson, Professor of Civil, Geological and Environmental Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan, has been recognized for his long-standing involvement with the International Association of Hydrogeologist – Canadian National Chapter by being awarded the Long Term Service Award.

Grant joined the Board of Directors in September 2005, serving as the Atlantic Region Rep until September 2009. He was elected President of the IAH-CNC in September 2009 and served two 3-year terms. He is currently Past President. At an international level, Grant was a Founding Committee Member of the IAH-Early Career Hydrogeologists Network (2009-2012), and the Founding Chair of the IAH-Energy Commission (2015-2021). Most recently, Grant was elected as the IAH Vice-President for North America, continuing to serve the IAH in a broader capacity.
