New Science Communication Micro-Credential Offered by SENS
A new micro-credential course in science communication is being offered by the School of Environment and Sustainability
Don’t be the only person excited about your research. Learn to communicate science for impact!
Communicating your research to the right people, at the right times, and in the right ways, ensures that it has value and impact beyond research and academia, and that it supports positive change in policy, practice, and behaviour.
With a focus on humanizing science, and the people who do it, this facilitated online course invites researchers to explore and develop the powerful stories that help audiences connect with their work. It pairs this human focus with practical tools for strategically, cost-effectively and professionally communicating with non-specialist audiences and the media.”
By the end of the course, students will be able to think strategically about science communication, tailor content to the specific needs of target audiences, and make science understandable for non-specialists.
