2020 Distinguished Lecture Series

Biography

Ross Woods received his PhD at the University of Western Australia, under Dr Siva Sivapalan supervision in 1996. He is now an Associate Professor in Water and Environmental Engineering at the University of Bristol. His research interests can be broadly characterised as global classification and similarity for hydrology, and currently include aspects of hydrological theory, long term water balance, flood hydrology, seasonal hydrology, the hydro-climatology of snow-dominated catchments, and hydro-climatology data analysis. Ross played an active role in the global Prediction of Ungauged Basins initiative during 2003-2012.
